Open Shop for only $14.00 per hour!
I am going to offer Open Shop sessions on Tuesday and Thursdays except for holidays. You can come in and use any of the equipment that I have set up including my lapidary equipment. I will not be officially teaching during these times, but will be here for questions and to be sure you are safe. Each session will be for three hours and I have three sessions per day to choose from. If you choose to sign up for more than one session I will offer a discount for the multiple sessions. The sessions are listed below.
Tuesdays
TU1 = 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Tuesday Morning Session
TU2 = 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday Afternoon Session
TU3 = 6:00 PM to 9 PM, Tuesday Evening Session
Thursdays
TH1 = 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Thursday Morning Session
TH2 = 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Thursday Afternoon Session
TH3 = 6:00 PM to 9 PM, Thursday Evening Session
You must sign up for one of the above for a three month period and I am taking first come, first serve sign ups and you can start as early as this Thursday. Your three month cost will be 3 hours x $14.00 per hour equals $42.00 per week, $168.00 per month (four weeks) for a total of $504.00 for the three month contract which is due at sign up. After you sign up and begin coming to your session your three month period will begin and you will get 12 weeks of your 3 hour sessions. Holidays will not be included and will be added on to the end of the contract. I will also give each person one make up session at the end of their contract period if you miss a session.
Some rules will apply. Below I will list a few that I have thought about, but I reserve the right to add and adjust rules as needed.
A maximum of four will be allow to sign up per session
There will be no sign ups for fewer than 12 sessions at $42.00 per session, $504.00 for three months.
There will be no substitutions; you may not elect to have someone else come in your place for any session
You may not sell your contract to another person.
If you cannot finish your contract there will be no refunds for any reason.
If you miss a session you will not be able to make it up, except for two sessions per three month contract.
If I have to cancel a session for health reasons you will be able to make it up at the end of the contract.
If weather is so bad that I feel the session needs to be canceled, or three of the four students decide that it is too bad to come, I will call it off and the session will be added to the end of the contract.
The three months will begin with the first session that you attend.
Violation of any safety rule will be an automatic cancelation of your contract with no refund.
You will be asked to leave on time. If you come late you will not be permitted to stay late.
You must supply your own supplies.
I will furnish hand tools for your use, but you will have to supply your own metal, stones, supplies such as flux, solder, investment, mold rubber, polishing and buffing wheels some lapidary supplies, ECT. I will supply pickle and buffing compounds.
You will have access to all Silversmithing, lost wax casting, mold vulcanizing press, lapidary, and pewter casting equipment. This will include, but not limit, Silversmithing hand tools, six inch buffer, flex shaft, torches (propane, butane, and Smith acetylene/atmospheric air torch), charcoal blocks unless you abuse them, kiln, broken arm caster, ultrasonic cleaner, tumblers, steel shot, vacuum caster for debubbling investment, lapidary unit for cabbing, trim saw for cutting small stones and slabs, doping station, and pewter pot.
